1-6. Reporting Equipment Improvement Recommendations (EIR)
If your ALT test set needs improvement, let us know. Send us an EIR. You, the user are the only one who can tell us
what you don't like about your equipment. Let us know why you don't like the design. Put it on an SF 368 (Quality
Deficiency Report). Mail it to Commander, US Army Communications - Electronics Command and Fort Monmouth,
ATTN: DRSEL-ME-MP, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey 07703. We'll send you a reply.
Section Il. EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION AND DATA
1-7. Equipment Characteristics, Features and Capabilities
a. The characteristics and features of the test set are:
(1) The ALT test set is portable and can be used when the environmental and power requirements are available
(2) All operating controls are on the front panel. Cables and technical manual are stored inside top cover.
(3) Calibration is not required.
b. Capabilities. The test set will fault isolate the ALT receiver and electronic assembly to the major subassembly
level.
