Visually ensure that ALT enters track (the ALT should stop scanning and point towards operator).

Set CODE thumbwheel switches on control panel to 112.

Verify that ALT starts scanning again.
k.
Return CODE thumbwheel switches on control panel to 111, and verify that ALT reenters track.

Set CODE thumbwheel switches (6) on control panel to 688.
m.
Ensure MODE switch (1) on control panel is at SCAN 2.
