2-7. Alignment Set Troubleshooting Procedure
Organizational Maintenance troubleshooting is limited to replacing the transit case and the laser simulator indicator
lamp and battery. Table 2-2 lists the malfunctions and corrective action procedures.

Ensure MODE switch is in HI or LO position.
The laser simulator BATTERY TEST indicator
does not light when pressed.
Replace battery (para 3-7).
Replace BATTERY TEST lamp (para 3-8).
Clean the lens (para 3-10).
The laser simulator lens is dirty.
Notify higher category maintenance.
The laser simulator lens is damaged.
Replace the screw assemblies (para 3-18).
The alignment fixture has missing or damage
captive screws.
Replace transit case.
The transit case is damaged so that it will not
provide protection.
